What Is Pickle Ball?  Pickle ball is played like tennis, but is played with a paddle similar to a table tennis paddle.  It is played with wiffle balls instead of tennis balls and on a much smaller court.  Held at the Boys & Girls Club

Do you have a skill that you would like to share! The Social Center is always looking for volunteer leaders and instructors.  

Join us for Coffee & Conversation, play a game, spend time with old friends or meet new friends all while keeping your mind sharp.  The Senior Social Center offers card games, board games, puzzles and more! Most games can accommodate any number of drop-in players and If you do not know a certain game - do not worry - we will teach you.

The S S C offers fitness equipment with cardio and weight training such as:

  • Treadmills
  • Exercise bikes
  • Free weights
  • Strength and stretching area with mats and fitness balls a Wii game system for quick round of bowling or tennis

Regardless of how fit you are, regular exercise provides plenty of benefits, including improved memory, greater physical capacity and better overall quality of life. A circuit training workout specifically can increase strength, reduce muscle atrophy, develop balance and improve cardiovascular health.  The Senior Social Center will work with you to design a program for you.

SENIOR SOCIAL CENTER

Of Craig

Is a 45-minute evidence based strength training exercise class for older adults.  Most of the bodybuilding exercises are performed seated in chairs with a set of light dumbbell weights.
