Board meets the third Tuesday of each month at 4:30pm at the Bell Tower Building
The Senior Social Center was launched in 2014 through a grassroots effort by a group of committed, active adults who seek ‘To establish a permanent accessible gathering place to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens through socialization, exercise, creativity, and education.’ We are funded through grants, membership dues, and donations. We have been privileged to partner with the Colorado Northwestern Community College, the City of Craig Parks & Recreation department, Northwest Colorado Health, the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, and other entities to assist us in implementing and supporting our programs. Our programs are all tied to the pillars of our mission.
Utilizing local experts and volunteers to advance our mission, the all-volunteer Board meets monthly to review current and upcoming programs as well as voting on policies and procedures. Each year the Board of Directors participate in a retreat to review our accomplishments and set our short term and long term goals for the coming year.
